The Fort Collins-Loveland Farmers Market sponsored by CAMC recognizes that food insecurity is a significant issue in Colorado, with 11% of the population living in poverty. Many of these Coloradans rely on food assistance programs like SNAP (formerly food stamps), which serves more than 485,000 CO residents a month! However, because most SNAP recipients receive $1.41 per meal ($4.23/day), it can be challenging to have enough money to buy food for the whole month. That is why we are proud to participate in the Double Up Food Bucks Colorado program.

Double Up Food Bucks Colorado allows SNAP shoppers to bring home more fresh fruits and vegetables. When a customer in the Colorado EBT system visits the Tokens Tent at the Fort Collins-Loveland Farmers markets, they get to “Double Up” their food dollars. For example, if an EBT customer wants to spend $20, they will receive $20 in market tokens as well as $20 in free vouchers for fruits and vegetables!
